There are a variety of Weapons in Metal Gear Survive. Each offerring different play styles.

Summary[edit | edit source]

From machetes to machine guns, Metal Gear Survive has many weapons to fend off hordes of enemies. Weapons and their respective recipes are procured out in Dite, especially in the Dust. Each weapons offers different play style.

Weapon Rank and Star Level[edit | edit source]

There are 5 Weapon Tiers in Metal Gear Survive.

  • Common (Grey) Grey Tier.png
  • Uncommon (Green) Uncommon Tier.png
  • Rare (Blue) Rare Tier.png
  • Legendary (Purple) Legendary Tier.png
  • Epic (Yellow)

Within these tiers, you can also upgrade the star level of each weapon, from one to five stars, if and only if the weapon is in your inventory.

One-Handed Weapons[edit | edit source]

Fast short-ranged melee weapon great for finishing off low health enemies. Able to step forward while swinging.

Two-Handed Weapons[edit | edit source]

Medium-speed swinging melee weapon. Greater knockback power than One-Handed weapons but less than Heavy weapons. Can knock helmets off Armored enemies. Able to step forward while swinging.

Thrusting Weapons[edit | edit source]

Melee weapon great for dispatching enemies behind fences. Character is stationary when thrusting.

Heavy Weapons[edit | edit source]

Slowest-swinging speed melee weapons with the greatest knockback power of the four melee weapon types. Great for crowd control. Can knock the helmet off Armored enemies. Able to step forward while swinging.

Bows[edit | edit source]

Great for dispatching enemies from a distance. Requires arrows to use. Can use different arrow types: Quick, Normal, Heavy, and Fire, Grenade, and RPA. Hold arrows until you hear your bow make a noise and aim for weak points for maximum damage.

There are different types of arrows for assorted functions:

Firearms[edit | edit source]

The ideal weapon to dispatch enemies with quick efficiency. Can be equipped with attachments such as flashlight, lazer sight, and suppressor. Requires bullets to use. Type of bullet used depends on the firearm.

Throwing Weapons[edit | edit source]

Uses depends on the weapon, great for distractions and dispatching enemies from a distance, or lighting up dark places.

Placed Weapon[edit | edit source]

Stationary weapons great for damaging, slowing, and distracting enemies. Uses depend on weapon.

Gadgets[edit | edit source]

Utility items with various functions. Mainly used for Singleplayer.

Required for a fully functional firearm.
